When will the 2019-20 annual wage review be announced?

Each national minimum wage order made in an annual wage review usually comes into operation on the first full pay period on or after 1 July. However, If the Fair Work Commission is satisfied that there are exceptional circumstances justifying why a variation determination should not come into operation until a later day, the FWC may specify that later day as the day on which it comes into operation. Due to the impact of COVID-19, the 19-20 annual wage review process has already experienced some delay.

CCSA will keep members updated on the 19-20 Annual Wage Review determinations and operative dates as they are passed. For direct access to eConnect articles listed on our website, click here, or contact out Member Infoline on 1800 991 602 or (02) 4782 1470.
