We had some amazing candidates interview for our position; can we keep their resume on file for future positions?

Under privacy legislation, you are required to notify applicants how long their records will be kept and for what purpose. Unsuccessful applicants should be notified, either in writing or verbally that they have been unsuccessful on this occasion, and advised that their resume will be retained for for the specified time for future positions should they become available.
