Should I provide a confirmation of resignation letter?

Once a service has received notification of an employee’s intention to resign, the service should confirm the relevant details in writing to the employee so there is no doubt of what is happening and when.

These details are important for calculation of termination pay and the dates on which the services employer obligations to the employee end.
