An employee can work some of their normal working days each week while taking flexible parental leave for the remaining working days. For example, an employee who works 4 days per week may return to work for 2 days per week and take the remaining 2 days as flexible parental leave. There is a maximum of 30 flexible parental leave days available and it must be taken before the child turns 2 years old.
