Job Description
Sun Valley Preschool is seeking a Teaching Director/Educational Leader for our esteemed, locally loved, community preschool. At Sun Valley Preschool, we nurture, value, and educate the whole child, including the mind, body and spirit, through joyful relationships with their environment, community and each other. We provide a well-resourced, caring and stimulating teaching environment.
Our ideal candidate will be full of passion and enthusiasm for the Early Childhood Sector, ensuring children are supported at all times on their individual learning journey.
Our new Director will have the experience and strong desire to lead, inspire, support, and manage our team of Educators at our amazing Preschool. You will be a leader and provide mentorship and guidance to all staff.
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to manage the day-to-day operations of the Preschool in line with legislative requirements and company policies and procedures. You will have the ability to effectively manage the financial requirements of the centre in line with budget guidelines.
As Educational Leader you will ensure that high-quality early learning programs are delivered by our passionate team of Educators. Sound understanding and commitment to the Preschool Philosophy, Early Years Learning Framework is essential.
We are looking for an individual with excellent customer service skills, who can build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, Educators, the local business community, and all other stakeholders. You will also be actively involved with attracting, converting and retaining families by effectively managing tours, enrolments, and orientation for our prospective families and children.

Essential Criteria
- • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA approved equivalent). A Diploma trained candidate working towards these qualifications with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a director’s role may be considered. • Valid Working with Children Check, completion of a child protection course, ACECQA approved current first aid certificate.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge applications for funding for children with additional needs.
