Job Description
Cooma Lambie Street Preschool is a not-for-profit, community-based preschool located in southern NSW. The preschool has provided a quality, play based early learning program for over 60 years and has achieved a rating of EXCEEDING the National Quality Standards.
Lambie Street Preschool is a 40 place preschool, enrolling children from 3 to 5 years. The preschool operates Monday to Friday during NSW Department of Education school terms.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you are expected to work collectively with the Preschool Director, and guide and support a team of educators which provides high quality early childhood education and care to children.
Role and responsibilities
• Developing strong relationships that support and partner with children, families and the community
• Teach and learn alongside children, other educators and families
• Be the Educational Leader for the service guiding the implementation of a play-based learning program and environment rich in opportunities and experiences
• Be responsive to children’s ideas, needs, strengths and abilities
• Contribute towards the services goals and ongoing commitment to continuous improvement
• Uphold the services values, policies and procedures
• Incorporate the services philosophy in all that you do
• Work in accordance with the requirements of current legislation, National Regulations and the Code of Ethics of Early Childhood Australia.
• In the absence of the Nominated Supervisor, be the Responsible Person, whom will have responsibility for the day to day management of the service.
Essential Criteria
- Early Childhood Teaching qualification as recognised by ACECQA
- NSW Teacher accreditation (or be willing and able to obtain it)
- Experience with programming and planning for the developmental needs and interests of children aged 3 to 5 years
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF)
- A current NSW Working with Children’s Check
- Availability to work weekday shifts rostered between 8:15am and 4:30pm
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in an early childhood education setting
- Current First Aid qualification (or ability to obtain)
