Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and innovative teacher or diploma trained educator who is currently studying their degree. In this position you will develop leadership and management skills to lead a great service. The Director will participate in an extensive leadership program, learning to lead with impact.

As the Educational Leader you will lead and support pedagogical practice across the service to deliver innovative educational and inclusive programs for young children.
This role requires a leader who can establish and nurture strong relationships with the team, children and their families and the wider community including Aboriginal Elders, schools, other early childhood and family organisations.

You will be supported by an experienced Early Childhood Coordinator and a network of Management and Directors. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work alongside intervention specialist to support and nurture children’s learning and development.

The director’s role is very rewarding. As the director you will be working with educators, families, local community, and a range of external stakeholders to provide optimum education and care outcomes for young children. Essential Criteria
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or actively working towards the degree
  • NESA Early Childhood Teacher Accreditation
  • A Working with Children Check clearance number
  • Current approved first aid qualification for early education and care HLTAID004
  • Completed an approved child protection Statement of Attainment
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in early childhood
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake the role of Nominated Supervisor
  • Demonstrated professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a successful team
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of current early childhood theories and practice & children’s services legislation
  • Demonstrated high level of ethical and professional behaviour including collaboration & confidentiality
