Job Description

Lead, manage and motivate team members.
Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the centre and ensure it complies with health, educational, safety, licensing regulations and quality improvement.
Ensure parents complete appropriate enrolment forms and maintain records in accordance with relevant legislation.
Supervise the duties of staff and ensure that appropriate standards in programming and care are maintained.
Work with the Parent Management Committee and the Finance Officer to monitor and participate in the preparation of the budget.
Conduct Centre-based staff meetings and attend other relevant meetings and in-service courses.
Coordinate staff leave and select short-term staff, as required, always ensuring continuity of staff and compliance with legislation.

Essential Criteria
  • A Diploma in Children’s Services or Early Childhood degree as approved by ACECQA. Advanced understanding of the EYLF, NQS and QKLG. Current First Aid, CPR, and Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications. A current Working with Children Check and Child Protection Certificate. An ability to establish a mutually supportive partnership between staff and parents with open communication and respect.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Competent in social media and maintain a social media presence. Highly desirable: a sound understanding of CCS and OWNA Software; however, training can be provided.
