July 2020 Pay Rates Now Available

July 2020 Pay Rates now are available on the Current Pay Rates page of our website.

These pay rates have been prepared following the Fair Work Commission annual wage review for 2019-2020 which resulted in a 1.75% pay increase to the minimum weekly wage and award pay rates.

The FWC determined that as a result of the effects of COVID-19 on employment and the economy, the increase will be applied from different operative dates for different groups of modern awards. For those awards used in the early childhood sector, the increase will apply:

From the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 July 2020 for Group 1 Awards

  • Children’s Services Award 2010
  • Educational Services (Teachers) Award 2010
  • Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010
  • Miscellaneous Award 2020 (Trainee Pay Rates)

From the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 November 2020 for Group 2 Awards

  • Clerks-Private Sector Award 2020

PLEASE NOTE: Final rates for the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 are not yet available. A separate payrate Alert will be issued when these are finalised.

The 2019 rates have been moved to the Archived Pay Rates section.

We encourage you to always refer back to the website tables to ensure that you are using the most recently published rates.

If your employees are covered by an Enterprise Agreement that refers to either the relevant Modern Award(s) or the Annual Wage Review in its wage-setting mechanism, your rates of pay may be affected by this increase. Alternatively, if the Annual Wage Review results in Modern Award base rates that exceed those contained in your Agreement, you will need to review your Agreement pay rates.
