JobKeeper Monthly Declarations

Submitting monthly declarations is a mandatory requirement for receiving JobKeeper reimbursements. The monthly declaration process includes confirmation of the number of JobKeeper eligible employees that were paid at least $1,500 before tax in each JobKeeper fortnight ending in the month, along with declarations of the actual turnover for the month just completed and the projected turnover for the coming month.

The ATO reminds employers that they must declare their eligible employees monthly on an on-going basis, with May declarations having to be made by 14 June 2020.

The ATO has also advised that JobKeeper eligible employers, who have enrolled from April but not yet made their employee declaration, must ensure that they complete their April declaration by 31 May 2020.
