Positions Vacant

Regional groups PDF Print E-mail
CCSA currently has no regional groups operating. However, should members be interested, regional groups can be established under the following guidelines.

Regional groups operating guidelines

The region will meet a minimum of twice per calendar year. One of these meetings will be for the purpose of electing a regional contact person and presenting the audited financial statement of the region.

The regional contact person will be the contact point for the CCSA secretariat, board and members within the region. Individual regions may nominate additional positions to assist in the co-ordination of the region but CCSA would only require the one point of content.

The purpose and function of the region is determined by the region and is reflective of the objectives of CCSA. For instance the purpose of the regional group may be to allow opportunity for networking and provide a forum for training opportunities.

The region will provide CCSA with the following:

  • the purpose and function of the regional group
  • their intention to register for GST
  • the number of anticipated meetings or activities
  • a copy of the audited financial statement
  • contact details for the regional contact person
  • a written report to the Board on activities (CCSA will supply dates of Board meetings in advance each year)
  • copies prior to distribution of any outgoing correspondence which presents an opinion or point of view
  • details of planned meetings and activities for inclusion on CCSA's newsletter and website
  • in the event of the region becoming inactive for a period of two years, funds held by the region should be forwarded to CCSA
  • permission would need to be sought for use of CCSA's logo.

Regional contacts will be allocated to Board members as a means of keeping informed of the issues and as a mechanism for regions to raise issues.
